I've been a hairstylist for years, and I have rarely seen young women who would not be better off with a much shorter style. That long hair makes them look like little girls! So, if a young woman takes a seat in my chair, I will take control and give her a suitable hairstyle, often much shorter then what she came in with. I'm pretty good at it too, so while they may be unwilling, they are almost always happy with it a few days after they leave my chair and return for trims on their own.
