Pennsylvania, 1838. Jeanie is a good-looking girl with long blonde hair residing in Lawrenceville, she loves playing the piano, an instrument that her mother taught her since childhood. She is the daughter of Angela and Freddie MacDowell, her mother a piano teacher and her father a doctor in the village. Her best friends are Bill and Stephen, of whom she has a crush on the latter. After her mother's death, she is determined to become a doctor.
