The story is fictional and takes place in a world where the Armored Commander Su Xiaoxiao commands Xu Zhan to travel back to 2016 to inform Nangong Xinyi, Lin Zhikai, Su Xiaoxiao, and others that the Yama King (Zombie King) has traveled through a time-space tunnel to the ancient times to change the recorded history of mankind with the Dragon Ball. The group travels to the Qing Dynasty and the Qin Dynasty to battle the Yama King, encountering the betrayal of Cha La and the siege of the Zombie Puppets along the way. In the end, they defeat the Yama King, reclaim the Dragon Ball, and save human history from being rewritten.
