Shuichi is quite serious, talks negatively, frequently blushes, has an unsure demeanor, assumes others are better than him, and is very polite. He wears a hat, hates eye contact, which is why he has the hat. He is a very skilled detective with superior ability and insight, but he lacks confidence in himself. He claims that he hasn't accomplished enough to deserve being called the Ultimate Detective or to be called a famous detective. He doesn't like when Kokichi calls him 'beloved' or 'Shumai'
