Hanahaki Disease is a disease in which the victim coughs up flower petals when they suffer from one-sided love. The disease can affect the stomach, lungs, or heart, but usually the lungs. The disease can only be cured if the beloved returns their feelings (romantic love only; friendship is not enough), or the victim dies. The disease has origins in Japanese, Korean, and Chinese cultures.
