Kurono is a composed and cold-hearted, individual, as shown when he was unfazed when Overhaul kills a fellow subordinate. His loyalty knows no bounds and is willing to do anything in his power to ensure the Shie Hassaikai's success. Kurono is a calculating and intelligent man with a rather stoic demeanor which can often be seen as intimidating. Despite this, he can be rather caring to those he cares about especially when it comes to Kai. He can be described as a man of actions rather than words.
