Caraguatatuba, also known as Caraguá, is a Brazilian city on the northern coast of São Paulo state. It is part of the Caraguatatuba-Ubatuba-São Sebastião Immediate Region, located east of the state capital, approximately 178 km away. Caraguá covers an area of 484.947 km² and had an estimated population of 134,875 inhabitants in 2022, resulting in a population density of 258.2 hab/km². In that year, it was the 65th most populous city in São Paulo and the 252nd in Brazil.
