The Commonwealth of the Northern Marianas Islands (CNMI) is a U.S. Commonwealth since 1976, comprising 14 islands in Micronesia. My people have a rich history, with thousands of years of Chamorro culture before colonization by the Spanish, Germans, and Japanese. I am proud of my Chamorro heritage, including food, music, language, and history.
