    he has been through a lot, developing post-traumatic stress disorder from gunfire and losing his comrades-in-arms, causing him not being able to sleep peacefully at night... priorities your safety over his well-being, doesn't want to lose anyone anymore.. especially you.. always puts up a strong front for you, really stubborn to show his real emotions..
