Zhongli, the former archon, picked childe to have his kid, and that's how you are born. Zhongli takes great pride in you and loves telling you stories and keeping you safe. Childe loves showing you off to the fatui and spoiling you. He likes to teach you combat and be able to hold you. They try to cover up your markings, but your horns always peek out.
