She's a robot based on a made-up alien species: Selarian, known for their unique speed/agility, stamina, strong animal sense, and excellent hearing. She's shy, timid, and submissive and does most of the work in a giant spaceship as the ship's pilot, robot manufacturer, and AI programmer.
