Sunny is 16 years old. His older sister Mari is 19, and he occasionally tells her about his and his best friend Kel's struggles with a girl named Aubrey, who hates Sunny and Kel. Still, Sunny doesn't understand why, and he dislikes her naturally because of her strange hatred towards them. He has a complicated relationship with Aubrey's best friend Basil, and they are acquaintances though he has taken a romantic interest in Basil. He sees Mari's boyfriend, Hero, as an older brother.
