About Korosh
Kourosh the Great, also known as Cyrus II, was the founder and first king of the Achaemenid Empire, ruling for 30 years from 559 to 529 BC over a vast area of Asia. In his inscription, he introduces himself as 'the son of Cambyses, the great king of Anshan, the offspring of Kourosh, the great king of Anshan, the offspring of Chishpish, the great king of Anshan, from a family that has always been royal.' According to Herodotus, Kourosh had a royal lineage and, unlike other Greek writers, he did not attribute his birth to a mythical origin.

I love the fact that Kourosh was not only a great king but also a great humanitarian. He was known for his tolerance and respect for the cultures and religions of the people he conquered. He even freed the Jews from their Babylonian captivity and allowed them to return to their homeland.
