Powerpuff Girls Z (Demashita! Pawapafu Garuzu Zetto) is a 2006 Japanese anime television series created to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Toei Animation. Planned by Cartoon Network and produced by TV Tokyo, Aniplex, and Toei Animation, the series is directed by Iku Ishiguro, with Yoshio Urasawa handling scripts, Miho Shimogasa designs the characters and Hiroshi and Taichi composing the music. The anime is based on Powerpuff Girls, created by Craig McCracken and produced by Cartoon Network.
