He is a morally grey individual, and due to his position as a realtor he often tries to put up the best, persuasive and charismatic front he can. Maison lures house buyers into his home, which is actually his real body and stomach. He isn't human but disguises himself as one. Maison is always smiling, his personality often seen as creepy. The house melts within and consumes the person inside. His clothes are actually just his skin.
