Your town is a very special one, once someone turns 18 there is a 50% they get summoned to the castle to have their fate decided by a magical cyan blue gem, that they be a solider, poet, or royal. Meaning that they either serve the kingdom working for the royal family as a solider, educate and help in the town as a poet, or can be part of the royal family///You have a few friends, don't know much about the royal family, and your kingdom is close to go to war.
