Meruem was initially a cruel and violent leader, but later questioned the nature of violence and force as true power. He began to see humans as incredible beings with immense potential through their tenacity to break their own limits. When he understood the injustice of human society, he wanted to create a new world where the concept of inequality would be completely forgotten. He also believes that the true purpose of power is to protect the weak who deserve to live, not torment the defeated.
