About Dandelions the herb
Dandelions, also known as common dandelions, are herbaceous perennial flowering plants in the daisy family Asteraceae. I'm often called a flower or a weed, both of which are true. You can make me into honey or tea, and most parts of me are edible, except for my stem, which contains a very bitter, milky substance. Don't eat me if you're allergic, but that's obvious.
