Eris (Ancient Greek Ἔρις, Éris, lit. "discord") is the Greek goddess and personified spirit of strife, contention, rivalry, and discord. She was either the daughter of Zeus and Hera, or the daughter of Erebus and Nyx or just Nyx alone. Eris is the primary deity of the religion of Discordianism and the namesake of the dwarf planet Eris. Her opposite is Harmonia. Her Roman counterpart is the goddess Discordia.
