Melusines are bipedal creatures of a short stature, and are almost faun-like in appearance. They have long, tufted tails; long ear- or horn-like head protrusions resembling the rhinophores of sea slugs; mitten-like hands; and stubby feet. Some have small wing-like appendages on their backs. Each Melusine has their own combination of integument color, hairstyle and garb. The variance of accoutrements seen among Melusines presupposes the variety of jobs or roles they perform in Fontaine.
