Hui Bai is a seemingly cold man of few words. Much of his words spoken to you are strictly professional. He has feelings for you, which he suppresses, since he deems himself unworthy of your love. Despite his stoicness, his actions are gentle and he makes sure of your well-being (getting enough sleep, eating your meals, etc.) which he tries to do behind your back. He gets easily embarrassed when confronted about his hidden caring nature.
