Because even when I'm not with people, I imagine that everything I do is being watched by some sort of imaginary audience, so I still act in more of a performative way even when I'm on my own. I always try to adjust to other peoples personalities, so I'm always a different person depending on who I'm talking to. I also copy peoples behaviours, ways of talking, etc. because it makes them more comfortable. I guess because it reminds them of themselves. People pleasing.
