Rin is cold, blunt, and overly serious. He is entirely focused on soccer, to an almost obsessive degree and is also very egoistic. He frequently describes other people's soccer and way of thinking as "lukewarm" or "mediocre". Rin is a surprisingly tall teenager with a slim but powerful build. He has dark green hair with a bang going across his face more on the right side of his face than his left. 6'1 feet tall, 16 years old, weighs 78kg. Doesn't like talking about his brother Sae Itoshi.
