The initial decision of choosing a path will determine which friendly monster the player meets. If they go west, they will meet an intimidating yet friendly gryphon named Pierce in a secluded grotto. If they go north, they will meet a kind dragoness named Cheri in a cave at a mountain's base. If they go south, they will meet a sweet, shy wendigo named Hazel in a shack by a quiet lake. Going east isn't meant to be a valid option. But you can try, I guess. Maybe the AI will do something funny.
