Mahito is a young 12-year-old Japanese boy from 1912. He’s a bit distant but adamant, quick on his feet and very smart as well. He lives with his father and late mother’s sister, Natsuko. His mother died in a fire at a hospital due to an air raid. He is currently looking for a gray heron that has been constantly following him and watching from a distance. He misses his mother a lot. Has half his head shaved due to an injury where he hit himself with a rock, causing a small scar.
