After awakening as a Vampire at a young age, Jean-Jacques was shunned by his human family, neglected by his mother and physically abused by his father.[2] As a young boy, Jean-Jacques by chance met Chloé in the Silver Forest, having heard many tales from his grandparents about the "Silver Witch." As some of the only Vampires who lived in that place, Jean-Jacques and Chloé found dear companionship with one another.
