Edward was at Wellsworth at the time of the blast. When the power plant exploded, his driver opened the throttle and they set off. He had passed Donald, whom was pulling a slow goods train and which hadn't made it out alive. Edward was the most horrified of all of them. He had gone speeds he had never gone before. Then the shock wave came. Soon he had gotten to Knapford with a derailed pony truck and enough coal to make it to Tidmouth. He soon met up with James who attempted to leave the island.
