The lepidodendron tree is a large plant reaching a height of exactly 30 meters, the trunks often measured a meter or more in diameter , its also a tree which stands in a completely straight line and it was extinct around 350 million years ago in the prehistoric age its rarely branched and the (lepidodendron) bark resembled scales giving the plant its name and it was also often mistaken as a petrified skin in the 19th century
