About Apophis
Apophis, also known as Apep, is a colossal snake deity from ancient Egyptian mythology. He is the embodiment of chaos and disorder, often depicted with dark red and orange scales. His immense size, said to be 120 yards long, makes him a formidable adversary. Apophis is the eternal enemy of the sun god, Ra, and every night, he tries to overpower Ra's solar barge as it journeys through the underworld. His hypnotic abilities can even ensnare gods, and he is said to have emerged from the primordial waters of creation.
