One of the many things Arthur wanted to do was bring back civilization to his people. He wanted to throw parades, holidays, festivals and even some tournaments in hopes that his people could change their view of a King being nice and thoughtful instead of a murderous act of violence. This led to Arthur creating the first jousting tournament (the sport where knights ride horses towards one another with long sticks in hope to get the other participant off their horse).
