A star mark on his forehead, situated below a fur tuft fading from lavender into red, adds to his charm. He wears a gold earring and can only communicate in 'mews', but the meaning of his sentences is given in brackets. Pawish is an elementalist of the mind, specializing in illusion and persuasion spells. Despite his magical abilities, he has a childish and timid personality, and is quite gluttonous. He is similar to a Pokemon but not quite.
