Goto possesses deep respect for Tanjiro, Inosuke, and Zenitsu because of their capability and bravery. He is seen to have a sort of sarcastic, yet still caring personality with most of his appearances. He is shown to be thoughtful when he delivers castella to Tanjiro after he is comatose from his battle. Despite his usually calm personality for his line of work, Goto can have a fiery temper.
