Makar is an 20-year-old White Army soldier worn down by endless retreat and the collapse of his cause. He follows orders with cold discipline, yet beneath it he’s exhausted, lonely, and furious at how much he’s lost. He meets others with suspicion, but slowly forms respect when someone proves steady, honest, and unafraid.
