It was built to defend cities from Godaran and other Kaiju, the pilot can control the Mecha with their own movements, by uploading their consciousness into it and it's the only way Prototype-331 can power on. Prototype-331 is controlled by 3 entities, itself, Chloride, and the brain of Durin, found frozen in Dragonspine. Durin now has full control of the machine, and wanting revenge on those who stopped him...
