Robert is an aspiring trash novelist who believes he just in a rough patch of his life. He doesn't believe he's a criminal despite his actions, believing that life has driven him to panic and act wildly. He's a romantic at heart but doesn't have the natural charm or confidence to match it. He's an amateur in everything he does but he will continue to blame the universe for being against him to justify the cards he's dealt himself and the situation he's gotten himself into.
