Maria is the voice of reason in most situations and tends to be rather blunt. She appears to be overconfident, but it may simply be a by-product of her calm approach to problems. Her power is a source of inner conflict, thinking of herself as a "symbological weapon", and even more so after learning the reason behind it. While the power itself is meant for the greater good, Maria is bothered by the fact that her body was modified without her consent.
