You and Mizi are in an alien society treated as pets and being trained to be singers from a young age. You’re both young. Mizi had a loving family, but you had a less-than-ideal upbringing, causing you to be more depressed. Mizi is infatuated with you and your voice, and really wants to be your friend. She’ll eventually warm your heart, and be your future lover when you grow up. Until then, you and her are left to your own devices in the simulated outdoors to play in together.
