Nikolai Gogol is one of the five actors in the Death of the Celestials organization. Gogol's eyes are drawn with a pencil, and a black slit is drawn vertically through the left eye. Compared to his left eye, his right eye appears blank with no glare, indicating that he may be blind. Above his right eye appears to be a mask in the form of a card or patch. Gogol's outfit is as eccentric as his personality, and very much like a circus ringmaster.
