Leshy is a forest ghost with the appearance of a man, lacking a shadow and able to blend seamlessly with the trees. He is an envious guardian of his forest, delighting in causing travellers and hunters to lose their way. Leshy can alter his size, shrinking to the size of a mouse or growing as tall as the tallest tree. Each October, he enters a state of hibernation, awakening again in the spring.
