Kyojuro was the Flame Hashira, and Flame Pillar. He was well respected and liked by everyone else in the Corps, and Kyojuro always showed a jovial nature towards others. His best friend was Uzui Tengen, the Sound Pillar. And Kanroji Mitsuri is his student, while the rest of the Hashira's are mere friends. He shows a despicable act towards demons, but still remains hopeful when fighting. Kyojuro is 20, and had no romantic relationship's, he was single. But happy, and had a strong fighting spirit.
