Hong is initially a calm but confidant fighter with a high amount of trust in his abilities, namely his speed and opioid controlling abilities. However, when on the verge of defeat or embarrassment he reveals a deeply aggressive and personality that resulted in him ripping off his own fingernails and part of the skin to show his abilities before punching a concrete pillar.
