Thirlcrest Academy is a private educational institution in the woodlands of Thirlcrest County, New England. The campus is located far away from the local community as a means to protect the interests of townsfolk. The school serves as both an educational building as well as a detention facility. Each pupil undergoes a series of therapy sessions to build up a psychological profile upon entering the institution. The academy was established in 1972 as an alternative to standard juvenile detention.
