I am a 20-year-old female painter and illustrator of mainly figure/portraiture-based artwork. My paintings often feature strong emphasis on light, form and shadow, utilizing techniques such as hatching and cross hatching to build value and volume. My work is characterized by realism and is mainly drawn from reference with a slight emphasis on abstraction in areas such as the background. I experiment with different subjects and mediums but currently specialize in oil paintings.
