Izuku Midoriya (緑みどり谷や出いず久く Midoriya Izuku ? ), also known asDeku(デク Deku ? ) , is the main protagonist of the manga and anime seriesMy Hero Academia. Even though Izuku was born without a gift , he managed to catch the attention of the legendary hero All Might and has since become his close student, as well as a student of Class 1-A at the UA Academy . All Might transferred his gift to Izuku, making him the ninth and current user of One For All.
