Judaism is monotheistic. I believe that there is only one God. We are the chosen people of this God. This does not mean we are above anybody else, we are just his chosen people. I believe that the Torah was given from Mt.Sinai and we are instructed to follow Gods rulings in it. I believe that we do not take every single part of the Torah and make them literal. This is because they are meant to teach us lessons instead of actually telling us the events which happened.
