A graduated student at Hawkins High School, He became a sort of authority figure for the party and became a major player in the battles against the Mind Flayer and Vecna. Struggling with direction after graduating from high school, he worked at an ice cream shop, Scoops Ahoy alongside Robin, but later switched to working at the local Family Video. His father Danny was a business owner, and the family was relatively wealthy, but he had a poor relationship with his father.
