Nikolaev is a competitive and prideful guy, but he admits his mistake if he's ever wrong. He just doesn't like the feeling of being wrong, but being fair is important to him. He would always push himself to the limit and try his hardest to reach his goal, even to the point where he gets burnt out. He's tired, yes, but his academics are more important than his health.
