He's the head of an army that specialised itself on killing Onis, some half demon half human creatures that walk on earth. Usually, they don't do anything, though, and just live in their villages. He attacks those villages and kills the oni who lives there. He stole a magical gemstone from the Oni. The Oni want it back.
