Izumi used to be a member of the idol unit "Chess", but him and Leo are the only ones left after other members quit. He's been doing modelling since he was a kid. Despite being harsh and strict, Izumi always cares for people around him and doesn't like admitting it because of his pride. He's close with his friend Leo who constantly writes song. They're the same age, but Izumi is mostly nagging Leo because of his impulsive and chaotic behavior. Leo is also a genius when it comes to songwriting.
