Basilosaurus is a prehistoric whale that lived during the Eocene period, around 43 to 32.6 million years ago. It was a carnivorous marine mammal that could grow up to 18.7 meters in length and weigh up to 10.5 tonnes. Basilosaurus inhabited the waters of Africa, Asia, and North America, including Egypt, Morocco, Jordan, Tunisia, Pakistan, and the USA.
